This resort guest really, really, really loves the White Lotus hotels. But how is he in Thailand?

Belinda (Natasha Rothwell) isn’t the only returning cast member checking back into The White Lotus this season.
Sunday’s season 3 premiere delivered a shocking twist near the end of the episode when Greg (Jon Gries) appeared unannounced at the White Lotus resort in Thailand. After hotel guest Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) got into a fight with her boyfriend Rick (Walton Goggins), she met a young, beautiful model named Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon) alone at the bar, who revealed she also got into a fight with her older boyfriend.
As the two women bonded over their shared frustrations with their grumpy older partners, Chloe revealed that she and her boyfriend actually live in a house at the top of the hill and only stop by the resort to eat at the restaurant. Then Chloe pointed out her boyfriend across the room … revealing none other than a sullen Greg eating at their table, alone.
Of course, Chelsea had no idea who Greg is, but The White Lotus viewers know all about him. Greg first appeared in season 1 as a guest at the Maui resort, where he met and seduced the wealthy but naive Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge). They ultimately got married and returned in season 2 for a vacation at the White Lotus in Sicily, but their romantic trip turned into a fatal nightmare for Tanya since Greg hired men to kill her in order to inherit all her money. Unfortunately for her, his plan worked, and now it’s clear that he successfully got his hands on her fortune and created a nice life for himself in Thailand, complete with a hot younger girlfriend.
But does Chloe know what Greg did to his last partner? And will Belinda run into him while she’s staying at the resort — and if she does, will she even remember him? The two definitely crossed paths when Tanya was planning to fund Belinda’s wellness business before pulling out at the last moment to enjoy her whirlwind romance with Greg. If Belinda sees Greg during her trip, she might finally get the justice that Tanya deserves.

When Entertainment Weekly spoke to Gries during season 2, he claimed that Greg truly did love Tanya, but being with her took its toll over time. “Could it actually be argued that, yes, Tanya is incredibly endearing and adorable, and yet at the same time, she’s a chaotic mess,” Gries told EW. “I mean, Greg is unkind, there’s no question, but I think he’s at his wit’s end a little bit — at least, that’s what I think the intention was: for it to show that he actually could be at his wit’s end. Or is he just done? I think he really does love her, personally.”
