A handful of Twin Peaks stars are going on a nationwide tour together – AV Club

It’s been eight years since Twin Peaks: The Return put what will now almost certainly be the definitive cap on the Twin Peaks legend—at least, we hope so, given the death of the series’ creative visionary and oddball beating heart, David Lynch, back in January. Fans of the series hoping to get a bit more from the show might be in luck, though, as a handful of its cast members are set to embark on a branded tour this fall, along with frequent Lynch collaborator (and The Return executive producer) Sabrina S. Sutherland.
Specifically, “Twin Peaks: Conversations With The Stars” will feature appearances from Ray Wise, Kimmy Robertson, and Harry Goaz, who played Leland Palmer, Lucy Moran, and Deputy Andy Brennan in both the original series, and then The Return. Additionally, Sheryl Lee, who played Laura Palmer in both iterations of the series, is set to accompany her former castmates for select stops on the tour. According to Sutherland (who worked with Lynch on pretty much all of his projects from 2006’s Inland Empire forward), the licensed tour had the director’s blessing; she gave a statement to THR today in which she said that, “David was very happy that we were going to have this cast tour to celebrate Twin Peaks with the fans all around the U.S. It’s sad that I won’t be able to call him each night to let him know how the show went as I had promised. But I look forward to celebrating his work each night and having him in my heart instead.”
In addition to theatrical stops, the tour will also feature a couple of events at spots directly associated with the show, both in Washington state. One such event (already sold out, according to THR), will see Wise and Lee hanging out in the Everett, Washington home used as the Palmer residence in the show; they’ll be joined by homeowner Mary Rebar, who Lynch cast in the series for The Return‘s strange and unsettling final scenes. Wise and Lee will also be doing an event at Kiana Lodge, which was used for multiple locations in the show’s pilot; notably, VIPs will be able to get a photo with Lee next to the log where Laura Palmer’s body was discovered, in case you are the kind of person who does not find that thought insanely creepy.
Tickets for the tour, which kicks off on August 4, are available here.
